Korrigan Phelps

Korrigan was the only one out of the five Phelps children that showed signs of magic, and before his poor parents knew what caused all the weird happenings in their home they were convinced that it was haunted. When they finally found out that it was actually Korrigan who made the saucepans fly and the clock to turn backwards they sighed in relief. The house wasn’t haunted, and, more importantly, they weren’t losing their minds.

Korrigan loved all the magic that he discovered at Hogwarts - the infinite ceiling of the great hall; the changing staircases; and the paintings that seemed to follow him around. But when an actual vampire came to one of their Defence Against the Dark Arts classes, he was in ecstasy. Even though magic had become a part of his daily life, he still hadn’t thought about there actually being other beings walking along them.

As a fresh-faced seventeen year old he started working as a clerk at the Office for House-Elf Relocation. He had big dreams, and thought that he would be rescuing poor elves that were mistreated by their families, but the reality turned out to be very different. When he tried to voice these thoughts he was dismissed by everyone. Everyone except a beautiful witch named Eglantyne.

The couple fell in love, and together, with the help of a moderate sum of money Korrigan inherited from one of his uncles, bought a house in Carkitt Market. They opened the House-Elf Placement Agency where they both felt they could help the elves on a more personal level. They even got two house-elves working for them - Snout, with his upturned nose and chatty demeanour, and Quisby, who seemed to be constantly half asleep. The couple, the house-elves, and their four children, lived together in their apartment over their Agency until they passed away.
